Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

Choosing your best maids can be as tricky as finding the perfect dress or man.  Although we can’t pick your bridal entourage, we can help you propose to them.  From a thoughtful card to a celebratory brunch, we’ve compiled a few ways to ask your closest friends to stand next to you on your special day.

Custom Card

A watercolor card, quirky puzzle or dainty piece of jewelry is the perfectly thoughtful way to ask your bridesmaids to take part in your special day.

Bridesmaid Box

DIY bridesmaid boxes are a great way to reach out to bridesmaids near and far about your upcoming ceremony.  Consider catering the box to your theme, such as a boho mixture of beauty products and candles perfect for a whimsical wedding, or a combination of your bridesmaid’s favorite things such as a photo, calendar and nail polish.

Celebratory Brunch

If all of your bridesmaids are in town, why not bring them together for a pre-engagement celebration?  A Sunday brunch is the perfect way to introduce all of your bridesmaids, share the exciting news and catch up on each other’s hectic lives.  Consider popping the question with a bottle of bubbly or a custom coffee mug to commemorate your celebration.

  1. Create a relaxing playlist to set the mood.
  2. Serve mimosas or your favorite cocktail or other beverage.
  3. Create a tasty chocolate facial scrub:
    • Add 1 spoon of olive oil, 1 spoon of brown sugar, and a few drops of vanilla extract (optional) to cocoa powder (about 1.5 spoons).
    • Mix these well together.
    • Scrub your face in a circular motion to remove all dead cells.
  4. Paint each other’s nails for the wedding.
  5. Smile and don’t stress about the wedding, this is your girl time!

Bridesmaids: Showing your Appreciation (3 of 3)

Your bridesmaids are sure to be excited, but there is a lot of work that goes behind their job too. In return for making your wedding journey as enjoyable and easy as possible, make sure you show them your appreciation! A classic way to say thank you is with jewelry. One cute option is rings with initials to wear on their right hand to show that they’re your “right hand ladies.” Another idea is to incorporate a bow so you can thank them for helping you “tie the knot.” Whether it be jewelry, a hand written card, or even a framed picture from the wedding, don’t forget to thank your bridal party!
