Winter Wedding: Ceremony (1 of 2)

Winter is said to be the most romantic season of the year, so many couples choose to say their “I do’s” while there is a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. From wintery greens to bold red florals, little details can create a big statement to create the perfect winter wedding.

Tweed suits and long-sleeved wedding dresses can add an element of romance and coziness to complement the theme of your big day and are great for taking those breathtaking photos out in the snow. We gathered a few of our favorite inspiration photos, so take a look for ideas for your winter ceremony!

Reception Seating: Escort Cards (2 of 2)

Escort cards are placed on display at the entrance of your reception and include the names of your guests and the table you have assigned them to as well as their meal choice if applicable. They are a great way for guests to easily find their names as they are categorized in alphabetical order. This allows guests to choose their seats by placing their cards at the table. Escort cards can be a great opportunity to showcase your unique style during the first look into your reception!

Make your cards noteworthy by writing on something other than the usual cardstock, or by settling them into coffee grounds or pieces of wood surrounded by foliage. Adding details to your escort card design can express your personality and add to your guests’ experience which will not go unnoticed. Check out these photos for inspiration!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Hosting a spooky soirée for friends and family can be a great way to get people in the Halloween spirit! With holidays soon approaching, a Halloween dinner is a great time to get together before the busy season ensues.
For the Beetlejuice themed dinner we hosted, we had fun with the classic Beetlejuice incorporating elements of burgundy velvet, black and white stripe and a moody floral color palette. We layered in some eerie candlesticks and candelabras as well as working in some DIY fun by making some dramatic velvet chargers to create a moody, dark atmosphere for the gathering. Take a look at these pictures from the event for inspiration! Also a special thanks to Saffron Avenue for collaborating on this event with us! 🙂 So fun!

Reception Seating: Table Assignment Charts (1 of 2)

Creating a table assignment display can be a great way to add a big statement to your reception decor. Not only does it create a simple, organized way for everyone to find their tables, it gives you a chance to add a piece of art to your wedding! When they arrive at their table you would then have a name card at each place setting with their first name, another stylized detail to be able to layer into your tablescape design.

Get creative with your table assignment display by writing on a piece of glass for a clean modern look, or by using old books to add a romantic and enchanting feel to your fairytale. Adorning frames with foliage and flowers or incorporating a calligraphy will really top it off. Take a look at these ideas for inspiration for your own table assignment chart!

Wedding Trend: Geodes and Agates

One trend we wouldn’t mind continuing to stick around is incorporating these beautiful stones into your special day. We’ve been seeing this trend for the past few years and love seeing all the different ways it can be incorporated into wedding design. Coming in vibrant to neutral colors and stunning sparkle, they are sure to catch everyone’s eye! We are especially loving the watercolor meets agate designs we are seeing as of late.

And can you believe some of these cakes are edible?! These stunning masterpieces are made out of sugar and are absolutely mesmerizing. You can add this trend into your dessert or almost any part of your wedding, including invitations, calligraphed agate slices, and table numbers. Check out these photos for inspiration!

Here are a few pictures from a CBE Real Wedding where we incorporated the look of the agate trend originally featured on the couple’s invite.

Fall Color Schemes: Dusty Blue and Burgundy

Fall Color Schemes: Dusty Blue and Burgundy

Picking out a color scheme can be difficult, but these fall colors completely caught our eye! With jewel-tones and deep, rich colors being popular fall wedding choices, we thought that this pairing was absolutely stunning!

With burgundy being such a rich, outstanding color for fall, it can pair with a number of colors. The dusty blue gives a soft, feminine side next to the bold, romantic burgundy. By adding pops of blue in burgundy bouquets, or having the perfect shade of blue table linens you can create the perfect palette for your fall wedding!
