Winter Wedding

While winter isn’t the most popular time to get married, the holiday season is one of the most beautiful and romantic times of the year. Winter weddings are becoming more and more heard of, but still are not seen as often as during the other seasons, so why not take a chance and step out of the crowd. Below are some ideas for the perfect winter wedding, everything from invitations to the favors taken home at the end of the night, that will have your guests hoping they will get to attend another warm and cozy winter wedding.

Let your guests know how excited you are for your big day with these festive wedding invitations.

Combining white and dark red or purple flowers provide the perfect contrast to incorporate into your wedding, or you can go the unconventional route and create a unique bouquet of pine cones and baby’s breath.

Adding candles and lights to your centerpieces will give a cozy and romantic feel to your wedding.

Everyone loves cake! These ideas are absolutely gorgeous while still looking delicious.

You can’t have a winter wedding without everybody’s favorite warm treat, hot chocolate. As for a signature drink, cranberry sangria and mulled wine are popular among guests.

Send your guest’s home with something that they will actually love and use. Smores and coffee beans are always good options, but what about an evergreen? This fun idea will have guests remembering your big day long after it is over.

Thanksgiving Day Table Ideas

Thanksgiving is a time to gather around a table, be with the people who mean the most to you, and eat one of the best meals of the year. And while the food itself is very important, where everyone sits around deserves just as much attention. Regardless if you want to go all out or are just looking for something different, take a look at these table decorations and layouts to consider for this Thanksgiving day.

Consider continuing the fall season with chalk-painted pumpkins for a center to the table. Chalk paint is the perfect way of turning a pumpkin into something to be admired. You can simply use multiple colors to form a pattern, or put your own personal touch around the pumpkin to bring the table together.

Gold is trending in the decorating world. Whether it’s small accents or the main element, it’ll be sure to add beauty and elegance to your table.

For something a little different, consider embracing the calligraphy trend and put it as an element on the table. This table layout found in the popular store, Mangolia, is a great example of how one simple word can bring the table together.

Everyone loves the kids table, but sometimes it ends up just being a simple fold up card table. Where’s the fun in that? Try adding some decorative touches or even make the table something to write on to keep the kids entertained.

Springtime Celebration—DIY Ideas

Springtime Celebration—DIY Ideas

Did you know that March 20th was National Proposal Today? It’s also the first day of Spring! Between the two, we think some celebration is in order.  So whether you’re hosting Easter, planning a proposal to a special someone, or just looking to ring in the warmer weather, the DIY ideas below will make your springtime celebration unique and memorable.

National Proposal Day

Already engaged?  Pop the question—to your Person of Honor! Ask your best friend, your sister, whoever to be your Maid of Honor by planning an egg hunt for them.  Draw them a treasure map.  Along the path, fill plastic eggs with pretty slips of paper that share why this person is important to you (like, “you have been my best friend since we were 13 years old” or “I know I can always be my unedited self around you”).  At the end of the map, hide one last egg with a message asking them to be your Maid of Honor.  Be sure to be nearby at this point—with tissues!—to ask them in person.

Playing Easter Hostess

These clever egg decorating projects are a new take on classic Easter decor.  Choose one that speaks to your style most, and craft away!  Feeling competitive?  Have guests decorate an egg and judge each other’s work.  Winner gets glory!

+Glitter Eggs

Simple, pretty, and so fun!

Whatever your style (or skill level!), dress up your table this Easter with these adorable egg DIYs—they’ll be a hit, and your creative prowess will be the talk of the party.

Celebrating Spring

Perhaps you don’t celebrate Easter or are hosting a gathering unrelated.  These tabletop decor ideas will be a breath of fresh air.

+Decorating with Vegetables

Incorporating produce into your table decorations may sound strange, but can be such a beautiful and unique way to celebrate the new season.  Combined with lots of fresh Spring flowers (and even eggs!), it all flows seamlessly together to create a refreshing, cool, creative centerpiece.

+Egg Place Cards

These are an understated way to incorporate Easter and Springtime decor for those who aren’t too keen on a pastel palette.  With pretty calligraphy style writing on undyed but varying colored eggs, they’re a nice mix of elegant and seasonal.
